1. Make and Take Workshop

If one of your favorite things to do in Naples includes finding fun for the kids, be sure to check out the Make and Take workshop series at The Baker Museum. This August, your little ones will enjoy Mixed Media Printmaking, with the opportunity to create unique art, using some of the styles and techniques of art featured at The Baker Museum. 
 
All Make and Take Workshops are free with admission to The Baker Museum.

2. Ben Allen Band – Live

If you love music and your list of ideal things to do in Naples includes catching a live performance, don’t miss this must-see event at Artis-Naples. The Ben Allen Band, a nationally acclaimed homegrown act from Southwest Florida, captivates audiences across the country with a fusion of blues, rock and country.

3. Martini Hour – Sails Restaurant

If an afternoon cocktail sounds like the perfect way to end your day in Naples, be sure to catch Martini Hour at Sails restaurant. Running 4:30-5:30 daily at Sails’ Marble Bar, this afternoon event is a favorite among locals and tourists alike.   
 
If you’re in the mood to stay for dinner, Sails offers upscale, European dining with an open kitchen and a broad menu, with highlights for kids, vegetarians, vegans and more. In addition to Martini Hour, Sails offers feature menus for sunset dining and champagne weekend brunches.

4. The Dazzling DelRays – Live!

If you’re in the mood to take a musical trip down memory lane, make sure you catch the Dazzling DelRays when they’re in town this August. Bring your friends for a night of music and laughter. You’ll hear everything from The Temptations, The Beatles and classic rock to DOO WOP, Motown and more. 
 
Be sure to call ahead for reservations. This event has a $5 cover.

5. JAWS — Mercato Movies on the Lawn

Thinking of catching a classic movie under the night sky? Mercato offers Movies on the Lawn on the third Tuesday of each month. In August, the feature movie will be the classic Spielberg thriller, JAWS. Whether you’ve had a day of shopping or an afternoon on the beach, you’ll love this chance to sit back and enjoy the thrill of this movie. 
 
Bring your lawn chair or blanket for this free event. A full outdoor bar, including food and popcorn, will be available.

6. Florida Southwest Amateur Golf Series

Whether you are a member of AmateurGolf.com or simply want to watch some exceptional golf, be sure to catch this competitive tournament in Naples this month. Featuring championship flight players with handicaps of +3.0 - 3.8, this two-day golf tournament for Men and Senior Men is sure to thrill spectators.
 
An outdoor bar will be provided by The Pub. While this event is free, keep in mind it may be postponed or cancelled due to weather.

7. Meet the Keeper – Naples Zoo

Ever wanted to get up close and personal with wild animals? The Naples Zoo makes it easy with its daily Meet the Keeper events. While the list of featured animals will rotate, you’ll find in-depth exhibits on fan favorites like the cheetah, the panther and the giraffe. Be sure to check the Naples Zoo’s daily schedule before you finalize your plans. There are often additional featured experiences, such as the Giraffe Feeding Experience or the Primate Expedition Cruise. 
 
If you’re looking for interesting things to do in Naples that are sure to be a hit with the kids, make sure the Meet the Keeper events at Naples Zoo are on your radar.

8. Breakfast at The Rooster Food & Drink

9. Old Naples Guided Bicycle Tour

Looking for eco-friendly things to do in Naples this month? Why not explore our beautiful city by bike?  Enjoy a leisurely pace on this guided bicycle tour of Old Naples. In this two-hour tour, you’ll wander through the neighborhoods of Old Naples, including Port Royal, and pedal along back roads to Naples Pier. Along the way, you’ll see the dramatic, lush landscape of the area, stunning architecture and a wide range of wildlife. Explore these interesting neighborhoods up close, learn about the history of the area and enjoy the warm breeze. 
 
This tour is $65.00 per person, plus tax. Advanced registration is required.

10. 3rd Street Farmers’ Market

A year-round event, Naples’ famous 3rd Street Farmers Market takes place every Saturday morning in June. Located on Third Street in Naples, the market overflows each week with fresh produce, prepared foods, roasted coffee, pastries and baked goods, dog treats, and much more. 
 
Start your weekend with fresh flowers, tasty treats, and local delicacies — you won’t be disappointed.

11. South Collier Farmers’ Market

Looking for fresh fruits and vegetables for the weekend? Be sure to stop by the South Collier Farmers’ Market, one of the biggest in the Greater Naples area. With over 80 vendors — offering everything from stained glass, handcrafted jewelry, and clothing to essential oils, freshly ground coffee, and handmade soaps — you’ll find far more than farm produce on your Friday morning outing. Be sure to come hungry — you’ll find plenty of delicious food, from authentic tacos and Asian cuisine to hot dogs, breakfast sandwiches, and chicken salads.
